The Ferrandiere Estate maintains some of the only original rootstocks (the bottom of the vine) in France that weren’t destroyed by a devastating pest infestation in the late 1800’s. These original rootstocks allow them to create authentic wines of character for a reasonable price. This Syrah is lean and smoky, with savory notes of earth and cured meats.
