Chateau Puygueraud was acquired by George Thienpont in 1946. He then replanted the vines towards the end of the 1970’s and starting in 1983 his son Nicolas began making the wine. For several years, and with the assistance of his grandson Cyrille, the wine has attained greater precision and a nobler expression of the clay-limestone terroirs. This is classic in profile, with dark fruit, graphite and earth on a medium frame.
