Starting out very small with just 2 hectares of vines in 1930, Roger and Andrée Vattan staked an early claim to some of the most special territory in Sancerre. Their son, Michel, expanded their holding in the 1970s. The O.P refers to grapes that were grown on Oxfordian limestone soils and Portlandian soils–giving the wine an intense minerality to complement the citrus and green apple flavors.
